Phil Carapelle
Phil is a 30-year veteran of the IT business, having begun his career in the early 1980’s working with the IBM 5120 “mini-computer” to develop a job cost tracking system for a Professional Engineering firm. That system went on to be approved by the Federal government, allowing the firm to participate in federally funded cost-plus engineering contracts for the FAA and EPA.
During the late 1980’s Phil owned one of the first Novell certified dealerships in the northeast US and traveled throughout the CT-NY-NJ tri-state area installing and troubleshooting Netware installations.
By the late 1980’s Phil was spending most of his time designing, developing and supporting custom applications for the Microsoft platform. The first pass at development was primarily Clipper and FoxPro based (pre-Windows) heavy client applications. As Windows came onto the scene, he began to move to other products, including VB.NET, Sybase, Btrieve, Access, and forms-based platforms.
The next hop was to Microsoft VBScript (ASP) web based applications, then onward to today with ASP.NET, MVC, Blazor, SQL server, etc.
Nowadays, Phil spends the majority of his time serving as a Solutions Architect and Application Implemenation Specialist.
Phil is a graduate of Purdue University with a B.S. in Industrial Engineering.
